Encounter Ministries exists to unleash the transforming power of the Holy Spirit in the world through teaching, equipping, and
activating disciples to demonstrate the love of God through the power of the Holy Spirit in their sphere of influence. I happen to be in the medical field, which is by nature a healing profession, so the mission fit nicely with what I do every day.
The instructors helped me to see that because of my identity as a child of God I had access to everything I needed to do what He has called me to do; I am part of His Kingdom ministry. It wasn’t about performing or earning my identity but about unlocking
my inheritance, deepening my relationship with Jesus, keeping my eyes off of myself, and becoming a student of Jesus.

I prayed a lot before I started Encounter Ministries, about whether it was something that I needed. Did I really need to be taught to listen to God? It turns out I did. Not only am I better able to hear God, I understand when I am feeling and seeing him! To say it has been life changing is an understatement. I am so grateful for the school being brought to our area. I can’t wait for the day it is offered to the children in our church and community!!

I’m so grateful that I decided both to enroll in and to complete the Encounter School of Ministry, despite the lack of feeling a strong push from the Holy Spirit. The knowledge learned and tools gained have greatly impacted both me and those around me.
I now declare the truth of my identity over myself when negative thoughts surface, as well as over my family and friends, teaching them how to renounce negativity and proclaim truth.
As a former nurse, my prayers for physical healing for others used to be very different, but now they are completely transformed as I speak healing over various body parts in Jesus’ name yet still incorporating my nursing knowledge.
Before Encounter, I already was very aware of and open to the Holy Spirit’s promptings, but now they include new missions like asking a stranger if they’d like to receive prayer! God is working, the Holy Spirit is lining up circumstances, and Jesus is healing all the time!
Even more transformational than the physical healings I’ve witnessed is the potential with inner healing—healing from the inside out! Observing Jesus bringing healing brings amazement and joy to not only the recipient, but to those facilitating the encounter with Jesus as well!

"I was suffering from an ear problem for about 4 weeks. I had a muffled ringing sensation and whatever I heard was echoing or distant like I was under water. It was worsening over time and I could not hear very well out of that ear. Nothing I tried seemed to help alleviate my symptoms.
I attended the healing service, and feeling that my issue was small, I didn't ask for prayer. But as we prayed for another person with an ear issue, someone placed their hand on my shoulder, and I felt a jolt go through me from her hand traveling up my shoulder and neck then to my right ear. After that as I was sitting praying for others, I thought about my ear too. I heard a high-pitched sound in my right ear and heard a pop, then I felt something release and a gentle pressing of cooling sensation on the right side of my face. My symptoms were gone!

"My parents went to the healing service at Cross in the Woods in August. My mom had been suffering from IBS, and there were some days that she couldn't even leave her house. Emilia prayed with her that night and she hasn't had issues since! She even canceled 2 doctors appointments! Praise God!! And thank you to Encounter for providing amazing opportunities for healing. "

"Back in November 2024 my 11 year old daughter Sylvia was diagnosed with scoliosis. I started praying for her spine to be healed every evening. Then in July, we went to the Encounter Conference, and the children in the "kid's track" prayed over her. She thought that she experienced a healing at the time. On September 15 (yesterday) Sylvia had an x-ray and the doctor said that her spine curvature is in the normal range now. The doctor said that usually scoliosis gets worse, but that occasionally, it gets better and they don't know why. (I'm pretty sure I know why.) The image on the right is from November, the middle one is from May, and the left one is from yesterday. Praise God!"
